By the way, when did this become a Bears town? I guess it was the early '80s and the rise of Ditka. Before then, what was it? It was a Hawks town in the '60s. I grew up here in the '70s and have no real idea who the driving sports engine was. It SHOULD have been a Bulls town in the '90s, and for a couple of weeks a year, it was, but then the freaking NFL Draft would happpen and the sports media would go all nutzoid about the Bears again and then it went from JORDANJORDANJORDAN to PLATTEVILLEPLATTEVILLEPLATTEVILLE. It was weird.
But now, baseball! Last homestand of the season starts in a couple of hours! Still a chance to see these guys:
